Clark Wesley May (Wes) was born May 18, 1928 to Maude and Clark May in Salem Township, PA and passed on April 3, 2013 at the age of 84. He entered the US Navy in 1946 serving in both World War II and the Korean War. In 1948 he was awarded a World War II Victory medal. Soon after enlisting he was introduced to the love of his life, Lillian Leydens by his soon-to-be brother in law. They fell in love through letters and after approval from Lillians father and mother; they married on February 26, 1950. They settled down in Visalia, CA in 1954. He owned H&W Upholstery for over 30 years and retired at the age of 62. Wes and Lillian were blessed with two beautiful daughters: Irene and Wesla. He loved family, golf, the 49ers football team and having coffee with the guys. He will always be remembered as a wonderful man. Wes is preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Lillian (Leydens) May on February 8, 1991 and survived by his daughters Irene (May) Beargeon (husband Steve) and Wesla (May) Justis (husband Alvin); two granddaughters Dana (Beargeon) Ramos (husband Osvaldo) and Amber Justis; and five great grandchildren: David, Michael, Chase, Trevor and Heidi. Graveside services are set for 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Visalia Public Cemetery District. Funeral services entrusted to Hadley-Marcom Funeral Chapel, Visalia, CA.
