Santa Cardena Nunez

On September 18, 2013, Santa passed away surrounded by many members of her family, she was 63 years old. She was born to Pablo and Macedonia Cardenas on June 12, 1950 in Donna, Texas. Her family migrated to Woodlake, California in the mid 1950s. Santa attended Woodlake Public Schools and graduated from Woodlake High School. She married the late Raymond Nunez from Dinuba, California and they had two children: a daughter Renee and a son Raymond. Santa worked for the Tulare County Library in Visalia for 25 years. She enjoyed music, spending time with her friends and being with family. Santa leaves behind her son Raymond Nunez of Visalia. Grandson Frankie Nunez of Visalia, Great-Grandson Elias Nunez of Visalia, Granddaughter Alexa Nunez of Visalia, Granddaughter Natalia Nunez of Hawthorne, Great-Granddaughters Emily and Eliana Nunez-Romo also of Hawthorne. She is also survived by her brothers Desi Cardenas Sr. of Visalia, Frank Cardenas Sr., Patrick Cardenas Sr. and Max Cardenas of Woodlake, two sisters Agapita Torrez of Visalia and Basilla Pena of Modesto. She also leaves numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, cousins and friends. Santa was preceded in death by her daughter Renee Nunez, father Pablo Cardenas Sr., mother Macedonia Moreno Cardenas, brothers Marcelino Cardenas and Pablo Cardenas Jr., sister Lucy Cardenas Nuez, nephews Patrick Cardenas, Anthony Medina and niece Renee Torrez. A viewing will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2013, 12:00 noon " 4:00 pm at Hadley-Marcom Funeral Chapel, Visalia, CA. The Rosary will be prayed on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, 6:00pm at St. Frances Cabrini Church, Woodlake, CA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, September 26, 2013, 9:00am at St. Frances Cabrini Church, Woodlake, CA. A Private Burial will take place at Woodlake Public Cemetery.
