Cristina De La Rosa Alaniz, age 68 of Farmersville, CA passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2012. She was born on July 5, 1944 in Brownsville, TX to father Redubel Candido De La Rosa and mother Amparo Gamez De La Rosa both of Harlingen, TX. She married the love of her life Jose Alaniz in 1964 and moved to California in 1974 from La Joya, TX. She worked for Tulare County for several years before becoming a housewife after the birth of her fifth child. Cristina enjoyed reading her Bible daily, reading the newspaper, sewing, fishing, playing bingo and spending time with family and neighbors. She is preceded in death by her father, Redubel Candido De La Rosa; son, Joe Alaniz Jr.; sister, Juanita Reyba-Soto and paternal grandmother, Cleotilde De La Rosa who helped in raising her. She is survived by her loving husband Jose Alaniz; sons, Jesse and Pete; daughters, Sylvia, Irma, Tina and Sally; She is survived by her brothers, Paul, Redubel (Sonny), Victor, Daniel, and Crispin; sisters, Yolanda, Carmen, Graciela (Chela), Amparo, Linda, Diana and Dora all from Texas; Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Cristina had a special bond with her granddaughter Hailey who lived with her. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 4:00-8:00pm at Hadley-Marcom Funeral Chapel, Farmersville, CA. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2012, 2:00pm at Exeter District cemetery.
