Steven Leroy Pound

Steven Leroy Pound, age 64 of Visalia died April 20, 2013. He was born January 13, 1949 in Visalia, California, to Verly and Norma (Nye) Pound. Steve graduated from Redwood High School in 1967. Steve was a machinist and worked for Garcia Machine & Welding, VanTech Engineering, and Safetyline, Inc. When Steve was younger he was involved in quarter midget, go-kart and motorcycle racing and was quite successful. Due to a motorcycle accident in 1982, Steve was disabled, though he continued to work in a lesser capacity. He is survived by three sisters, Carol Marchant and husband Dar of Surprise, AZ.; Dottie Kiefer of Surprise, AZ.; and Shirley Shiffert and husband Edwin of Cottage Grove, OR. Four nieces, Kelly Kim of Sacramento, CA.; Karen Padilla and husband John of San Diego, CA.; Brooke Wade and husband Bill of Avondale, AZ and Jill Richards Dunn and husband Scott of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Private services.
