Guadalupe Lupita Luna Cantu, age 90 of Woodlake passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday, January 5, 2012. Lupita was born in Los Angeles, California December 12, 1921 to Jose and Guadalupe Cuevas. Lupita was married to Cleofas G. Luna short of 13 years and resided in Siville for a short period of time and then to Woodlake where they raised their three children. Lupita was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Cleofas in January 1956. Lupita is survived by her daughter Margaret Luna of Woodlake and two sons; Jose Luis Louie (Virginia) Luna of Visalia and Ben (Shenna) Luna of Doonfoot, Ayr, Scotland. Five grandchildren; Christine Luna of Visalia, Steven (Jenean) Luna of Tulare, Catrina Luna of Scotland, Michael (Robyn) Luna of Visalia and Gavin (Ayumi) Luna of Scotland. Moms passion was for her family and her greatest joy was the love for all her grandchildren. One of Moms last words was Los quero con todo mi Corazon and her love for the Lord Our God. Lupita is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter Brooke. The family would like to thank the staff at Kaweah Delta Hospital, Keweah Delta Hospice and Redwood Springs Health Care Center for the Care they gave to Mom. A viewing is scheduled for Thursday, January 12, 2012 at St. Marys Catholic Church from 5:00-8:00pm with the Rosary being prayed at 6:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 10:30 am. Interment will be at Visalia District Cemetery.
