Leo Boghosian, 79, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, October 09, 2012. Leo was born December 15, 1932 to Asador and Mary Boghosian in Tulare, California. He graduated from Tulare Union High School in 1951 and soon after joined the United States Air Force. Leo served honorably during the Korean War. In 1956, after completing his service, Leo returned home where he met and married the love of his life, Libby Sotelo. Recently on their 50th wedding anniversary, as a testament to their commitment, Leo and Libby renewed their vows surrounded by family and cherished friends. Leo enjoyed a long and successful career in the construction industry which lasted nearly 50 years and retired only a couple of years before his passing. He built over 100 residential homes and commercial projects which included building and operating the Argonaut Mine Restaurant in Visalia, California. He enjoyed laughing with his family and entertained them with his one-liner jokes, spending the holidays with family and especially enjoyed his wife Libby's cooking. Leo also enjoyed gardening, watching college football games and his beloved dog Maggie, who was always by his side. Leo is survived by his wife, Libby; daughters Kathy (Greg) Todd; Patti Boghosian; Elizabeth (Craig) Jacobson; grandchildren Chase Jones, Olivia and Zachary Jacobson, Zevan Williams, Bryon (Sarah) and Eric Todd, Lisa (John) Ruth, and sister Diana Dorough of Fresno, California. He also leaves several nieces and nephews, a large extended family and many friends. Leo was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 27, at 11:30 am, at the home of Leo & Elizabeth Boghosian, 411 E. Estate, Tulare, California. A private funeral is scheduled.
