Susan "Sue" Leslie Barnes January 21, 1949 - April 4, 2014 Susan "Sue" Leslie Barnes, 65, a resident of Visalia, California passed away peacefully with her family by her side at her home in Visalia after a short battle with lung cancer. Sue was born in San Francisco . Much of her childhood was spent in the Bay Area and Santa Barbara, finally settling in Redwood City where she met the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Barnes. They were married for 44 years this July where they settled in Visalia to raise their children. Sue is survived by her loving husband Bob. She was one of seven children, sisters Penny (John) Diaz, Pam (Eddie) DeFilippis, Margaret (Tommy) Powell, Suanne (Mark) Harns, brothers Keith (Natalie) Gamberg and the late Jack Gamberg. Beloved children Tami (Mark) Chrostowski, Lisa (Bub) Wass and Michael (Kelly) Barnes, Anthony Barnes and the late Robby Barnes, treasured grandchildren Ryan and Zachary Houston, Breanna Wass, Hannah and Cara Chrostowski, Mackenzie and Braden Barnes, Tony Jr. and Awna Barnes, many nephews and nieces including Brian Steck and Shelly Firebaugh who grew up closely with Sue's children. Sue had countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know her. Sue loved her grandchildren who were the center of her world and devoted her life to being there for them. Sue touched the lives of many people with her smile, giving and generous heart and was the center of her family. She maintained a sense of humor all the way to the end. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, April 12th, 2014, 1:00 p.m. at Hadley-Marcom Funeral Chapel, 1700 W. Caldwell Ave , Visalia , CA 93277.
