Ronald H. McCubbin Jr.

Ronald H (Ron) McCubbin Jr, 70, with family by his side, passed away June 28, 2014 following a stroke. The son of Sophie (Spesock) and Ronald Hugh McCubbin, Ron was born in San Francisco on January 31, 1944. A 1961 graduate of South City High, he later served in the U.S. Army in Germany from 1966-1969. Ron married former wife Marjorie Goldcamp in 1982. Son Colin, the love of Ron's life, was born in 1984. The family moved from Redwood City to Visalia in 1986 where Ron worked for many years as an auto parts manager before his retirement. Ron enjoyed music and tinkering with his Harley. But his many friends and family will most remember Ron's love of a good story, told in his booming voice and with infectious laughter. Preceded in death by his parents, Ron is survived by son Colin and fiancé Lindsey Caven, who are expecting Ron's first grandchild in the fall, sister Pam McCubbin (Ted), Aunt Miek and Uncle Al McCubbin, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
