Jeffrey Lee

July 22, 1940 — August 16, 2014

Jeffrey E. Lee, 74, of Visalia, CA passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2014, after a heroic battle with cancer. Jeff was born on July 22, 1940 in Richmond, Indiana. After completing Richmond High School in 1958, he joined the Navy, where he was trained as an electrician, a career that would serve him well the rest of his life. He spent 6 years in the Navy and was selected as "Company Honorman" by his shipmates for his attention to duty, military conduct, responsiveness to orders, cooperation, loyalty and comradeship. In 1964 Occidental Petroleum hired Jeff as an Electrical Foreman, and he was assigned to Libya. After returning to Visalia, he worked for Jack Zimmerman's Engineering and was subsequently hired by ARCO, where he worked around the world: the North Sea in Scotland, Peru and South Korea. In 1997 Jeff founded Lee's Electrical in Visalia. Despite worldwide travel throughout his career, when Jeff was home he always found time to enjoy his friends and family. In 1975 he joined the Visalia Country Club where he was an avid golfer. When he wasn't golfing, he could often be found playing cards at VCC with his wife, Flossie, and friends. Jeff's easy-going demeanor, welcoming smile, and joy for living will be remembered by all. He is survived by Flossie Lee, his wife of 34 years, stepsons Chris and Jeff Cazaly, grandchildren Shelby, Jordan, Skylar and JT Cazaly, stepmother, Jean Pugh, and five half brothers and sisters. Jeff was predeceased by his parents, Maxine and Verlin Lee, and his children Greg and Tracy Lee. Jeff would like to thank Doctors Havard and Yang along with their staffs, and infusion nurses, Grace and Kelly, for their care and compassion. His final days were made easier by Hospice caregivers Renee, Jill and John and KDHCD 3 South nurses Jasmine, Martha and Christine. Special thanks go out to co-workers and friends, Kenny Tipton and Robert Miller for their continual support and dedication. Most of all Jeff would like to thank his wife, Flossie, for the care, encouragement and devotion throughout his 8 year battle with kidney cancer. Visitation will be held at Hadley-Marcom Funeral Chapel, 1700 W. Caldwell from 4:00-7:00 pm on Friday, August 22, 2014. There will be no service per Jeff's request. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to CASA, 1146 N. Chinowth or Kaweah Delta Hospice, 900 W. Oak Avenue, both in Visalia, CA 93291
