Delbert Ray Adam

Delbert "Del" Ray Adam was born on August 18, 1938, in Glendale, California, to Frank and Vinita Adam. He went to be with his Lord on November 25, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sandy Adam, sisters Darlene Gruwell (Merrill) and LaVerne Spitler (Les) and brother Leslie Adam (Dorothy). He leaves behind three sons from a previous marriage: Rod (Melissa), Jeff (Lisa), and Chris (Rebecca) Adam; three step-children: Laura Lummer (Darrell), Christopher Clark, and Shannon Oliveira; five grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and ten step great-grandchildren. Upon graduation from Alhambra High School in 1956, Del joined the United States Marine Corps and served for three years. He was always so proud of having been a Marine. Del had his own pest-control business and later started a handyman service. One of Del's passions in life was building and flying model airplanes. He participated in countless competitions and mentored many other flying enthusiasts. He also loved to read and garden. His roses were and are beautiful. Del was a guy who could fix just about anything and was always helping someone do something. He had a generous and compassionate spirit and was loved by many. His family and friends share some wonderful memories about Del and will miss him so much. A Memorial Service will be held at The Road Church of Visalia, 1021 S.
