Tom Brisson, Hanford, Ca., passed away Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 6, after a long and full life. Tom died with members of his family gathered around him. He was 78. His memorial Mass will be at 8:30 a.m., Jan. 17, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 506 No. Garden St., Visalia.. Tom was born on Aug. 14, 1936, the eldest of four children, to Edward Pete' and Cecelia Brisson, of Detroit, Mi. He met Ginny, his wife and mother of their five children at St. Gertrude's Catholic High School in Saint Clair Shores. They married in 1957. Tom raised his family in Visalia, where he managed Jostens's American Yearbook Co. He later worked for Zellerbach Paper in Fresno. He retired to Morro Bay in 1998, where he was active at St. Timothy's Parish. In 2007, the couple took a cruise to Mexico to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. They were accompanied by their children and their families and several nieces and their families. They moved to Hanford, Ca., in April to be nearer to family members. He leaves behind son Tom and his wife, Pam, and their daughter, Renee of Visalia, Ca.; son Mark and wife Tanya, and their children, Emily, Daniel, daughter-in- law Abby, their son, Lucas, of Boise, Id.; daughter-in-law Jennie and her children Briane and Chris of Porterville, Ca.; son Mike, his wife Brenda, and their children Zack and Hannah of Murrieta, Ca.; daughter Danielle Rosa, her husband, Mark, and their children Michael, Corey and K.D. of Hanford, Ca. Tom is also survived by a brother and two sisters and their families, as well as nieces and nephews who he loved very much, as well as his companion, Vivian Vargas, and their friend and caregiver, Vera Houston. Also, the family is grateful for the care and attention Dad received during his his final weeks at Kaweah Delta's Cardiac ICU. You blessed our lives immeasurably, Dad. We'll love you always.
