Maria Placencia

Maria Luisa "Licha" Placencia was born in Saltillo Coahuila, Mexico on March 5th, 1934. She departed this life in Visalia, Ca on May 14th, 2015 at the age of 81. Maria was raised is Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico. She met and later married the late, Rufino, "Juan" Placencia in Mexico. At the time of her husband's passing they were married 51 years. In her early years, Maria was a homemaker, until moving to Visalia, CA in 1977. She, along with her husband later owned and operated, Las Fajitas Mexican Restaurant for more than 10 years. Maria is survived by her four children, Jaunita D' Andrea of Los Angeles, Norma L Silva of Tulare, Luis Placencia and Soledad Placencia both of Visalia; 14 grandchildren, Maria Cisneros, Priscilla Lara, Michael D' Andrea, Marcus D' Andrea, Luis Placencia, Frankie Placencia, Kaszya Saldana, Ricardo Silva, Juan R. Placencia Jr, Mateo Placencia, Robert Silva, Elizabeth Soto, Emilio Montor, Diego Montor, 21 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Maria enjoyed her time with her family and played bingo whenever possible. She was a kind hearted and caring woman who made time for each member of her family whenever they needed her. She was generous to a fault and made sure those around her didn't go without. She was loved by everyone who knew her and wore the title grandma like a crown. Memorial service will be held at Hadley-Marcon Visalia Funeral Chapel on Thursday, May 28th, 2015 at 11:00 am and grave side service will follow at the Visalia District Cemetery at 1pm.
