Eddie Crawford Sr. 1932 -2015 Eddie Crawford Sr. Longtime resident of Visalia CA passed away June 25th at home in hospice care surround by family and friends Eddie Sr. Was born on March 13, 1932 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his parents Mr. Albert and Sofia Crawford along with several brothers and sisters.These include: Stanley, Edgar, Joe, Kaly, Ivory, Gabelle, Rose, and Marie .He was their youngest sibling He is survived by his wife Mrs. Bennie Crawford and nine children; Gary, Portia, Eddie Jr., Sherrane, Edgar Terrell, John, Coletta, Michael, and Terrance; along with a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Eddie Sr. migrated to San Francisco, CA in the late1950s From Oklahoma. He studied hard and became a expert tradesman in the art of cement masonry where he eventually became a highly skilled cement finisher. His past employers included The Harris Construction Company and Swinerton & Walberg; which afforded him the opportunity to work on various large scale construction projects including various schools and hospitals in the western United States. Known for his sense of humor, Eddie Sr. believed in hard work and was a devoted family man. As a loving father he exemplified this by spending his spare time with his children both on camping and fishing trips, for he loved the great outdoors. He was a skilled fisherman who loved the Country Western Blues music genre "These songs speak the truth about life", he often said. He married his true love Mrs Bennie Crawford, his devoted faithful wife whom he deeply loved and cherished until his final moments. Eddie Sr. eventually discovered the promises outlined in God's Word The Bible and dedicated his life to Jehovah God in 1979. As the youngest of his siblings he was referred to as "The last of his generation". His legacy and the loving memory of him will forever remain in our hearts.
