Betty Sue Wells, 72, returned to her heavenly home on August 19, 2015. Betty's light, energy and attitude was contagious and affected everyone she knew and everyone that was lucky enough to meet her. She lived her life on her own terms. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in life and ultimately gave her peace. Betty was born to the late Henry and Grace Brown in Attalla, Alabama on February 18, 1943. After the death of her parents, her Aunt Loula Burns and her sister Shirley Brown took on the responsibility to raise her and her younger sister Nettie West. After moving to California in 1959 Betty went on to graduate from Mt. Whitney High School in 1961. Betty was hired by AT&T and went on to have a lengthy career as a switchboard operator and retired as a training manager in 1994.After retirement Betty went to work for Tulare County Probation for over 10 years. Betty finished her work career at the Lifestyle Center where she not only worked but was able to reconnect with old friends and make many new friends. Betty was blessed with a large and loving family. She married her best friend, Kenneth Wells on February 1, 1964 in Visalia, CA. By the grace of God, Ken and Betty raised four beautiful daughters and were blessed with six grandchildren who she loved to spoil. Betty is preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her daughters Kim Wells & Bryan Love; Jennifer Wells & Mike Green; Julie & Jim Smith and Natalie Wells & Elias Gonzalez; her grandchildren Brandon Sandri, Brice Sandri, Dylan Wells, Walker Smith, Maclayne Gonzalez & Elias Gonzalez.
