Paul (Butch) Lee Wothe, 64, of Visalia passed away on September 26, 2015 at his home surrounded by family. Paul was born in Cortland, New York on February 5, 1951. He was the first child of Paul Jr. and Vera Wothe. He grew up in Upstate New York until he entered the United States Air Force in 1971. While in the Air Force, Paul met and married his first wife Karen Krous. They had one child together, a daughter they named Nikki. Paul followed Karen out to California where they eventually divorced. He later met and married Donna Loomis. Paul and Donna moved to Visalia, CA in 1979 and over the next 17 years they had three children together; Kimberly, Theresa and Theodore (Ted). Over the years Paul worked as a taxi driver, at Knudsen's and Dairyman's creameries, was a driver for a wholesale florist, and ultimately retired as a milk transport driver for Ruan. Paul loved country music, both the new stuff and the old. He was passionate about his hobbies which included gardening, his birds, and games of Canasta with the family. For many years he raised and bred several breeds of birds, including chickens, finches, parakeets and quail. In recent years his home became a popular spot for numerous wild hummingbirds. Paul also had a green thumb and loved gardening and flowers. Paul is predeceased by his father Paul Jr., and is survived by his mother, Vera, his siblings Elaine, Wanda, Valerie, Michael (Mike),and Mark his children Nikki, Kimberly, Theresa, and Theodore (Ted). Also survived by his grandchildren Madison, Audrey, Brandon, Alexander (Xander), Mikailey, Natalie, Sydney and Tyler, as well as numerous other extended family and friends. A viewing will be held on October 5, 2015 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Hadley-Marcom Funeral Chapel 1700 W Caldwell Ave. in Visalia. A chapel service will start a 6:00 pm.
