Matilda Margaret Barletta

Matilda Margaret Coito Nunes Barletta, known to friends and family as Tillie, 85 left this life on January 26, 2016. She was born in Tulare California on January 14, 1931 to Frank and Mary Coito. She was raised in Dinuba on their family farm along with her sisters Margaret and Judy.   She attended Dinuba high school. She married Alfred Albert Nunes on January 25, 1948 and had four children; Victoria, Bruce, Dale and Cynthia. After her divorce she met Sam L. Barletta, they were married on June 23, 1973. Sam had three children; Tammy, Pamela and Lisa. Sam and Matilda were married 42 years upon his death on October 29, 2015.   Matilda loved to spend time with her family. Her grandchildren were the love of her life. She went to all the wrestling, baseball and football games of her grandchildren Justin and Roger, she would cook the fish they caught and sit around the camp fire and share stories with them. The boys will always remember her adventurous spirit. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.   Matilda was preceded in death by her husband Sam L Barletta, son Dale Albert Nunes, mother Mary Freitas Coito, sister Margaret D. Coito Neves and sister Judy B. Coito Marshall. She is survived by her daughter Victoria Marie, son Bruce Alfred Nunes and his wife Karon, daughter Tammy Finch and her husband Tim, step-daughter Pamela Hartley and her husband James, step-daughter Lisa Lira and her husband Jessie, several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.   Visitation will be at Hadley-Marcom Funeral Chapel on Friday, January 29, 2016 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Services will be at Praise Center Church on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with lunch to follow. Burial will be private.
