David Juan Matta

David had a Big Heart. He was always kind, respectful and very caring for others. I am his older sister Michelle, only a year apart. I was always very bossy and overly protected of my brother David. He would get mad at me sometimes and say, "Michelle your not the boss of me and your not my mom". But even though he would get mad at me I was still his sister and he always respected me to the fullest. Family meant Everything to David. My mom Irma, dad David, my brother Isaac and sisters Priscilla and Sonia our grandparents Grandpa Johnny and Grandma Rosa. David would do anything for us, he would never let anything happen to us. We all came first in his life no matter what David was always there for us. My mom especially held a special place in his heart, she was always number one to him and he would go to my mom for anything and he never left her. David always watched out for all of us. He loved all of his five nieces and three nephews, he also baptized my oldest daughter Candace. David was a very hard worker, he would help you with anything you needed and he never complained. He was always very grateful and thankful for anything. He loved being with his friends and attending all the family functions and holiday parties. The Christmas Day Parade and New Years Eve Dance were his two favorite events and he always attended them. My brother David was a good person, a very good son to my mom and dad and the best brother I could ever ask for. I will always defend him and be protected of him no matter what. Anyone who knows me knows exactly how I am when it comes to my brothers, especially David. I don't know what I am going to do without him in my life, without him being here. My heart hurts so much inside. But I know where David has gone to be with our God is such a better place than where any of us are now. I know he will be watching over me and our entire family and that he will be there waiting for us until our times come. I am going to miss David and I will always love him and have him in my heart and thoughts. I know many family members and friends who were all touched by him will also miss him greatly. I want to thank all of our family for being here for my brother and my mom, especially our family members who came from out of town. We greatly appreciate it.
