Horace Russell

Horace Russell went to be with the Lord on March 6, 2017 in Porterville, California. Horace Russell was born on February 20, 1956 in West Memphis, Arkansas to Sammie C. Russell and Velma Lee Russell, when Horace was 2 they moved to Visalia, California in 1959. He grew up with 6 Brothers and 7 Sisters.  Horace was very athletic and enjoyed sports. He Graduated from Red Wood High School in the year 1975; from there he attended Bakersfield University for some time. He was a Foreman in the construction industry for 30 years and more recently worked for Hoffman General Engineering Company out of Tulare, California. He was the proud father of Derreck Russell age 14, as well as a loving husband to Gloria Vann. He is preceded in death by his parents Sammie and Velma Russell, brothers Sam Russell JR., William Russell, and sister Rose Marilyn Sallam. He is survived by his 6 sisters and 4 brothers Mattie Lopez, Jewell Feliz, Linda Morgan, Lawrence Russell from Visalia, Juanita Johnson from Tulare, Grace Simpson, Pearl Richards, Jessie Cooper, Ernest Russell, uncle Arthur and aunt Frances from Fresno, and brother Leroy Russell From Loma Linda and 129 beautiful nephews and nieces. He enjoyed listening to Country Music and watching Western movies in his spare time. Horace will always be remembered for his laughter and generosity.
