George Floyd Higgins, age 91, born in Quincy, Illinois and lived much of his life in Visalia, California. He passed of natural causes on April 3, 2017. He fathered 2 wonderful children: Michael, George, Jr. (deceased), and 3 surviving children Patrick, Shawn, and Ilana, his beloved longtime partner, Shirley Moffett, daughters-in-law: Katrina and Mariche; 3 beloved grandchildren Erin, Devlin, Caelin, and 2 wonderful great grandchildren: Charlotte Dale and Annabelle Lynn. George was a great friend to those who knew him and a United States Naval veteran who served during the World War II. George loved traveling and sharing his life experiences about living in the depression era, and his military service in World War II over a cup of coffee, and adored living in Key West, Florida. He was a lifelong and dedicated member of Loyal Order of Moose, Fresno Lodge 445. A Visitation will take place Wednesday, April 12, 2017, 9:00 am-12:00 pm at Hadley-Marcom Funeral Chapel, 1700 W. Caldwell Ave., Visalia, CA. A Graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2017, 1:00 pm at Visalia Public Cemetery, 1300 W. Goshen Ave., Visalia, CA. Services entrusted to Hadley-Marcom Funeral Chapel, Visalia.
