Frances Denise Pina

Denise Pina, 64, of Visalia, CA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 16, 2018. She was born July 26, 1953, the third of five daughters to Frank and Linda Pina, in Van Nuys, CA. Denise moved to Visalia with her family in 1959. She graduated from Mt. Whitney High School and Golden State Business College. She worked many years in retail at the K-Mart and Target stores.   Denise was a very loving daughter, sister and aunt throughout her life. She always had open arms and a warm smile for any family member or friend. We all knew her as “Ne ne”, generous with her time providing countless hours of help in caring for her nieces and nephews and their children by babysitting or providing rides to and from school or activities. She was like a second mother to them. Denise also loved baseball and was an avid, true-blue LA Dodgers fan. Everyone loved her and she will be greatly missed.   She is preceded in death by her father Frank Pina and sister Brenda Ellis. She leaves behind her mother and loving companion Linda Pina, sister Patsy (Bill) Spruitenburg, Suzanne (Tom) Collishaw and Lisa Godfrey, as well as nine nieces and nephews, and fifteen great nieces and nephews, all from Visalia. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera, CA.   Her family will hold a Celebration of Life Memorial on Saturday, April 7, 2018, 3:00 p.m., at 34008 Road 144, Visalia, CA 93292.
