Arvel Lee Kilgore

Arvel Lee Kilgore received his heavenly promotion on December 17, 2021 at the age of 93. He was born December 2, 1928, in Potts, Oklahoma, the son of Roy and Rosie Kilgore. He served in the United Stated Airforce and Army, both with honorable discharges. Arvel married Diane Markam in 1964 and was married 53 years until her homegoing on January 24, 2017. He became an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God on March 2, 1960, in which he served faithfully over 61 years. He pastored Faith Assembly of God Church in Visalia, CA. for nearly 48 years. Arvel is survived by his brothers Marvin and Harvey Kilgore, sisters Oleda Lay, Jewel Taylor, Vinia Grilione, Linda Kilgore, Carolyn Hollingsworth, fourteen foster children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, his wife Diane, brother Leroy Kilgore, sisters Lilian Pierson and Rosetta Guill, son Patrick Moran and son-in-law Saul Venegas. Viewing will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 9:00 a.m., Memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m., both at Faith Assembly of God Church, 734 North Court St., Visalia, CA. Graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. at Tulare Public Cemetery 900 E. Kern Avenue, Tulare, CA.
