On Sunday, August 1st, 2021, Eleanor Gonzalez, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, Godmother, and grandmother passed away at the age of 68 in Palm Springs, California. Eleanor was the second child of Pablo and Mary Lira, born on June 10th, 1953 in Exeter, California. She was raised alongside her siblings, Debbie, Stanley, Paul, and Elizabeth Lira. On January 28th, 1989, Eleanor married the love of her life, Juan Gonzalez in Sanger, California. They both raised their two daughters Lisa and Ashley in Woodlake, California. Eleanor was especially known for her desserts, baked goods, hand-colored pictures, and hand-sewn blankets. She loved to sew a baby blanket for the newest addition to the family, which always included her signature tag. You could always hear her favorite music playing in the background, anything from Lionel Ritchie to Los Bukis but especially the oldies. Eleanor is survived by her husband Juan of 32 years, her two daughters, and their spouses; Lisa (Lupe Garcia) and Ashley (Octavio Lara). Her four grandsons, Gabriel, Isaac, Jacob and Octavio III. Her brother Stanley (Nora Lira) her sister, Elizabeth Lira (Steve Hayworth), her sister in-law Rachel Lira and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Pablo, her brother Paul, and her sister Debbie Lira. Services will be held at Hadley-Marcom Funeral Chapel in Visalia on Friday, August 20th at 6pm.
