James F. Huerta, a resident of Goshen, CA, age 64, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021 after losing his brief battle with cancer. James leaves behind his high school sweetheart, Norma (Jeanie); children: Carolyn, James, Fabian and Rebecca, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Carolyn, brother, Joseph, brother Samuel and wife Kathy, and brother John and wife Rachel and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Joe, brothers, Jacob, Jeremiah and Jesse. James lived many years in the Salinas/Castroville area, and after retiring from truck driving he settled back into the area a few years ago. He was a truck driver and what he most enjoyed about this job was being able to take his wife, Jeanie, his children and grandchildren along for the long drives. While on these long drives they were able to explore and see amazing places. Anyone having the privilege of listening to him talk about these trips could feel his joy and enthusiasm in the times shared there with his loved ones. He was a simple man, a very caring man and loving son who loved family, friends, outdoors, BBQ’s, sports and roosters. He was also one who had an opinion on everything (that will be missed). Although we will miss him dearly, we will forever cherish the countless memories with him along with his stories on how he viewed life. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 5, 2021 at 3:00 p.m., at Hadley-Marcom Funeral Chapel, 1700 West Caldwell Avenue, Visalia, CA 93277. For more information, call: 559-625-8900.
