Ray Charles Kidder

Ray Charles Kidder, born October 19, 1941, in Berkeley, California, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024. He spent much of his life on California’s Central Coast and most recently resided in Visalia.

Ray was the beloved son of Rita and Cliff Kidder. He is survived by his son Daniel Kidder; his daughter Cathy Heitzenrater and her husband Craig; and his cherished grandchildren Noah, Isabella, Benjiman, Miabella, Rosebeth, and Sophie. He is also remembered by his brother Dale Kidder and sister Janice Saylor. Ray was preceded in death by his beloved wife Donna.

Throughout his life, Ray dedicated himself to serving others through a variety of professions. He worked as a California firefighter and corrections officer before becoming the owner of Kidder and Son Trucking. His strong work ethic and commitment to excellence left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

In his younger years, Ray found joy in hot rods and fishing—two passions that brought him great happiness and reflected his love for adventure and the outdoors.

Ray’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his legacy bring comfort to those he leaves behind.
